i wonder if my art got worse in a way over the years, i feel like the colors are definitely not there compared to my older art

I disagree that your art got worse. If you feel that it's missing more color than what it used to, don't beat yourself down for it! Bring more color!
Regardless of how you feel about it, I think it still looks great, and that when compared to your old art, I'd say you've evolved fairly.
